I'M EXPERIMENTING

I'm going to give Jamie the credit for this endeavor... you can go to my last post's comments and click on Jamie's name and check out why I decided to do this... but I'm not linking it to any particular blogspot, since lots of people are doing this now.

These are some questions,
I'd like you to ponder,
Put your answers in comments,
You'll find the link yonder!

OK... so I'm not the best poet, but you get my point... on to the questions...

1) What was your most special birthday and why?

2) I know a lot about... (fill in the blank).

3) What makes you laugh and why?

4) What was something you broke or lost that belonged to someone else. How did you tell them?

5) My first encounter with a bully was...

Have fun with the answers. I look forward to reading them.

1) What was your most special birthday and why?
40 - cause Jim Brickman (my fav piano player) was playing for the 1st time at Carnegy Hall on my actual B-day. My Mom took me and my sister to NY to see him. It was sooo fun.

2) I know a lot about... (fill in the blank).
Nothing - useless info is what my brain chooses to remember forever. Why I came into this room on the other hand??

3) What makes you laugh and why?
America's Funniest videos. People being silly. Ellen DeGeneres. I don't know - cause they are funny. Little kids and animal babies also do really funny - cute things.

4) What was something you broke or lost that belonged to someone else. How did you tell them?
Ummm - I haven't told them yet. SHHH!

5) My first encounter with a bully was... Let me think - I really don't think I've encountered a bully. Rude and obnoxious people - yes I have worked in the retail business for 20 years - but a bully - maybe I blocked out the experience.

Maybe I should answer these questions myself... I mean fair is fair, right?

1) My most special birthday is one I wrote about previously. I'd link it here if I knew how. Like Margo, I was 40 and I was appearing as Dolly in the musical "Hello, Dolly!" in our local community theatre.

2) I know a lot about acting... Guess this piggy-backs on #1, but I've been in theatre, either acting or directing since highschool.

3) Things that make me laugh are first, my grandchildren. They are too funny even when they try not to be. My dog, who also is funny, but he doesn't know it. My blogger friends. Some are corny. Now they're all going to wonder: "Does she mean me?" LOL
Oh, I make myself laugh sometimes too. I just did. I don't know why I asked why... why not?

4) Lost a class ring given to me by a boyfriend when I was only 16 years old. I was too young to understand it may have meant something to him later in life. I just never gave it back and it got lost in the interim. We weren't speaking after breaking up, so he never asked for it and I never offered it. Now of all things I might have answered, why did this come to mind? Probably because to this day I still feel guilty over keeping the ring.

5) I've never been bullied, but I was a bully in grade school, just to one girl, as tho that justifies it. This is another thing that I feel so guilty about that I've never forgotten it. I, along with my best friend, would bully another girl in our class. I have recently started corresponding with her via emails and I don't have the courage to bring it up. She actually said in one of the emails that she was so glad that we had "met" again online and she considered me one of her very good friends. She sure knows how to make me feel worse. You know she has to remember. Wow, I'm pretty good at shifting the positions here and putting her at fault.

1) What was your most special birthday and why? My 60th, just over a year ago. I flew to WI to see my niece's senior recital and then my husband and one daughter surprised me by showing up that night to spend the weekend with me in WI. It was a big surprise and done with lots of love.

2) I know a lot about... kids and how to relate to them. Maybe because I never really grew up.

3) What makes you laugh and why? Animals and kids make me laugh with their innocent play.

4) What was something you broke or lost that belonged to someone else. How did you tell them? I can't think of an answer to that. If I broke something, I probably 'fessed up to it. I'm pretty honest.

5) My first encounter with a bully was... in grade school. I didn't understand why someone who needed friends so bad was so mean to everyone. I was too timid to try to do anything about it.

1. What was your most special birthday and why?

I would say last years. It was Easter Sunday, I was born on Good Friday, but this was my 1st Easter B'day. I was in the DC area with my kids and their b/gf's. They had arranged a wonderful restaurant, food was yummy. Just hung-out the rest of the day.

2. I know a lot about... (fill in the blank). Agriculture-gardening and animals. As a dairy farm girl, 4-Her learned a lot at a young age.

3. What makes you laugh and why?

Everyone Loves Raymond, I do not know how Debra puts up with Ray and his family. No matter how many times I see an episode I laugh at certain things. My daughter when she acts silly (which is often). Lately it is my puppy, Starry, some of her antics just crack me up. Latest was I left the bathroom door open, she got the end of the t-p and streamed it out into the kitchen, wanted to yell at her, but how could you. She was just having fun and me a chuckle.

4. What was something you broke or lost that belonged to someone else. How did you tell them?

One summer the kids and I were visiting my Mom in PA. She had an AC in my bedroom window, do not remember why I did what I did...BUT...it fell out the window. I rushed outside and put it back in, she knows everything but somehow that escaped her. BUT, when she was outside and saw a huge dent. I had to fess up. LOL

5. My first encounter with a bully was...

I was in 1st grade and rode a school bus with 1st-6th graders. One day one of the older kids started picking on me. My Mom saw me crying walking up the lane. My Dad had a talk with me about how I should punch them or kick them U know where...needless to say that was the last day I was picked on. I was tall for my age and strong from throwing hay bales around...HAHA.

1) What was your most special birthday and why? Don't know if it was so special, but I really thought my 40th was my best one.

2) I know a lot about hollywood trivia and stupid, useless facts about celebrities. Really, I can't remember my name sometimes because my head is jammed with useless facts about who went out with who, what they wore when and that kind of thing. Oh, if only I knew the stock market so well!

3) What makes you laugh and why? I may steal Laurie's answer and say animals. I also just love the special brand of humor I only encounter when I'm out with my gay guy and girl friends. I am on the floor at all times. Love it and love them all.

4) What was something you broke or lost that belonged to someone else. How did you tell them?
Can't think of a thing. Is that possible?

5) My first encounter with a bully was... in grade school, as the target of my neighborhood mean girls. Oh yea, they tortured me for years. ON e apologized when we were college age and the other I "lost touch" with!

1) I can't point to one specific birthday that was more special ... we made a big deal of birthdays when I was growing up, so it was always exciting to be given little presents through the day, mom cooking my favourite dishes, friends coming over ...

2) Know a lot about my subject (statistics) which I wish wasn't that way. I wish I had spent the ~10 years I spent in grad school getting an advanced degree on learning other things ... like art, wildlife, conservation etc.

3) Quick and intelligent wit makes me laugh. And all the silly antics of my cats.

4) Can't remember breaking or losing something that belonged to someone else ... maybe I've suppressed the memory!!

5) I had a bully in my class in 1st grade. She would bring her big sister who was in the 5th grade over to our class during lunch break to bully me!

Hey guys, thanks for answering my questions. I know it takes time, but at least I didn't have 100 like Jackie has over on her blog. I really answered them for myself as I read hers, so even tho no one else knows, the Marge knows. (Play on "the Shadow knows", in case you didn't get that!) LOL
