MEB, those little puppies are soooo adorable!

After reading Nana's and Jennasmom comments on Jackie's blog, I decided to check out your blog. I'm glad I did. You have good things to say.

The list of what cancer CANNOT do is so true, and very inspirational.

It was interesting to read about what you had gone thru with your health. I knew, from reading Syd and your daughter that you were going thru some major health issues, but I never knew the details. I'm so glad you are doing so well after all that.

I'm scheduled to go in on Wednesday for a colon cancer screening. Not really looking forward to it, but know it has to be done. I think it's just the lower part tho - the sigmoid something-or-other. From what I understand, the prep beforehand is much worse than the actual procedure. So I'll just grin and "bare" it until it's over. :)

After reading one of your older posts about the reverse mortgage, one of the first thoughts I had was how much having done that must have helped while you've been going thru your health issues. Isn't it amazing how things work out? I know you have a strong faith and it's that faith and prayer that gets us thru!

God bless you, MEB!

How cute are those puppies Ms. Meb!

PDX, I had a sygmoidoscopy and it was nothing. Had no prep for it that ai recall other than the night before using some kind of laxative that I expected to be, er, explosive and actually I didn't notice much of any difference.

Don't want to lead you astray but I don't recall it hurting at all as it was just the lower part of the colon. I laughed when he told me I was so CLEAN in there!!! That's NICE to know I thought. Now if only I could say that about my house!

Anyway, I am turning 50 in January so will have to go for a full colono check up at some point in the year. Hell, after all the smushing in mammos and poking in my nether regions by a gyne since I was, what 14? 16? I guess we can add this one to the list for the sake of our health. :-D

Thanks for the encouraging words, Sydney! I'm 60 now, and surprised I'm not having the full treatment. I guess that one they put you out for. And you're right, with all the other pokes & prods thru the years, this should be nuthin!

Thanks for the kind words pdx granny. I sometimes forget I even have a blog and then something grabs me and I want to post. Check in on occasion, just to see.

I'm sure you also go to Sydney's blog. I want to be just like her when I grow up... she knows how to do videos and everything. I barely can figure out how to do a picture.

Between Jackie, Zoetawny and Sydney, we have some great information and graphics going in our little family of bloggers.
